Work for Yourself

The START UP Team supports students and recent graduates who want to work independently or start their own business.

Whether you want to work freelance, sell a product or create an innovative new service, we can help you at every stage, from pre-idea to launch and beyond. We’ll support you whatever your goals and we’ll never ask you for a share of your venture – it’s your business!

We offer socials, workshops, coaching, peer-learning groups and even funding.

We work with hundreds of students and graduates interested in working freelance or starting their own business. We've helped our clients to win national and global awards, raise significant six figure investments and, most importantly, to set up and establish sustainable and scalable new ventures.

There are 203 START UP supported businesses currently trading, with a combined annual turnover of £60 million. A total of 695 full-time equivalent jobs and over £19 million of external investment raised between them.
