A Research Associate (Biomarker) with experience in a range of analysis involved with method development and validation and confirming highly sensitive, reliable assay methodologies. Wide range of experience in classical and instrumental analysis including LC-MS/MS, Ion Selective Electrodes (F-ISE), GC-MS, AAS, PCR and ELISA. Recognition as Associate Fellow HEA by Higher Education Academy.

I worked for five years in the Federal College of Wildlife Management (FRIN Nigeria), whilst gaining my MSc Chemistry, and then carried out my doctoral studies (PhD Health) in biomarker exposure monitoring of Fluoride in the School of Health at Teesside University, Middlesbrough under Professor Vida Zohoori and Dr Ralph Duckworth and Professor Ruth Valentine from Newcastle University. I worked then in the School of Dental Sciences, Newcastle University for 2 years, (p/t) conducted Systematic Reviews of Literature. I rejoined the University in 2020 as a Research Associate Biomarker. Here I focused my research into key areas, derived from my earlier doctoral studies, my Biomarker analysis expertise, for use in Drug Discovery, LCMS and Ligand Binding Assays. I remain focussed in directing my expertise in drug metabolism and analytical procedures towards novel pharmacological and biomedical applications, with a particular emphasis on Ligand Binding methodologies and LCMS assays.

My work involve biomonitoring of exposures in human biological matrices and its public health relevance. I have expertise in instrumental analysis. I have been involved in the development of different biomarkers of exposure to fluoride. My current project with the pharmacology research group involve development and validation of assay for anti-cancer drugs including Peptides, ADCs and small molecules. I am interested in the biomonitoring of exposome and its associated health effect.
