Our Programme & Teams
Our Basketball programme is established as one of the elite University programmes in the country. We welcome high performance student athletes to both our Men's and Women's teams.
Our Men's team compete in the BUCS Premiership, British Championship Basketball (Knights), and provides a BBL pathway through our Newcastle Eagles partnership.
Our Women's team compete in the BUCS Premiership and WBBL through our Newcastle Eagles partnership.
We have development squads of both Men and Women alongside providing 3 Men's teams and 2 Women's teams participating in BUCS.
Newcastle Knights represent Newcastle University in the British Championship Basketball.
This professional standard league made up of 14 teams across the country provides a unique opportunity for players to be involved in professional basketball whilst gaining a degree from a Russel Group University.
