Squash

Our intramural squash sessions give students and staff the opportunity to play in a fun and friendly atmosphere. Whether you have previous experience or want to learn, it's a great way to get involved.

Weekly coached sessions

If you’re looking to play squash in a fun, relaxed environment, then our coached sessions are for you. Sessions cater for all abilities and all equipment is provided. You can:

  • play against other members (staff and students)
  • receive coaching from a qualified coach and member of our University Squash Club
  • enter into our monthly social tournaments

This session is free to all Sport and Fitness Centre members who hold a Sport or Sport & Fitness membership, or can be paid for on a weekly basis of £4 per session. Sessions have a limited capacity so you must book your place.

Where and when (starting 10th Oct)

  • Tuesday evenings, 16:00 – 19:00
  • Term time only
  • Booking essential via NCL Sport app or website
  • Sessions are bookable up to 14 days in advance
  • Starts 11th October

  • NCL Sport App - download, select 'Intramural Bookings', then your chosen session
  • NCL Sport Web - select make a booking, Intramural Sport, then your chosen session
  • Sessions are bookable 14 days in advance

Squash leagues

If you’re looking for something more competitive, then why not join our Intramural squash leagues.

Squash leagues run on a termly basis and are open to all staff and students, with fixtures organised for days and times that suit you.

Multiple divisions with up to 8 players per division means we can cater for several ability levels, with promotion/relegation at the end of each term.

A Sport & Fitness Centre membership is required in order to join our squash leagues.
