Our intramural squash sessions give students and staff the opportunity to play in a fun and friendly atmosphere. Whether you have previous experience or want to learn, it's a great way to get involved.

When

Pitch up and play

Saturday 11:00 – 12:45

If you’re looking to play squash weekly in a fun, relaxed environment, then pitch up and play is for you. You can:

  • play against your friends and other students
  • receive coaching from a member of our University Squash Club
  • enter into our monthly social tournaments

This is a free session in which everyone is welcome regardless of ability or experience.

Spaces are limited. You must reserve a place to be involved in this session.

If you're interested, register online and the Sports Development Officer will contact you.

Squash leagues

Join our intramural squash leagues of you’re interested in playing squash in a competitive environment.

Squash leagues are open to all staff and students, with fixtures organised for days and times that suit you.

To enter the squash leagues, you must be a Silver or Gold level member of the sports centre.

If you’re interested in joining the leagues, contact the Sports Development Officer.

Squash courts, Newcastle University Sports Centre

Access to the sports centre is via Richardson Road, Claremont Road, or the pedestrian route past the Ridley Building and Medical and Dental Schools. See directions and map.
