Lacrosse

Newcastle University boasts a unique opportunity to play lacrosse.

We welcome committed individuals, from high-performing players to beginners to join our lacrosse programmes at Newcastle.

We cater for both women and men on our programmes, competing within the BUCS leagues.

Both the women and men’s lacrosse clubs have a diverse range of high quality players from all over the world which ensures we continue to compete with the very best in the country.

The women have 4 teams, 3 that compete in BUCS with the 1st team playing one league below premiership level and a 4th team that focuses on our beginners who eventually feed in to the competitive teams.

Men's lacrosse at Newcastle has gone from strength to strength. After a two-year unbeaten record (including two national cup titles) the Men's 1st team is now competing in the BUCS Premier North, the top lacrosse league in the country, facing some of the country's best teams and players every week. The men's 2nd team has is ideally placed for newer players and to act as a feeder team for the 1st; enthusiastic, hard working and ever-improving the 2nd team is only every looking one way - up.
