Background

I joined the Careers Service in 1999 as Clerical Assistant, progressing to Receptionist then Employer Liaison Assistant, before taking up the role of Events Co-ordinator in 2004.

Roles and Responsibilities

I am responsible for coordinating a wide range of events for the Careers Service, both on and off campus including Recruitment Fairs, Award Ceremonies, Networking Events, Conferences and Information Events. 

This involves liaising with internal and external venue contacts; negotiating event contracts and costs with relevant suppliers; coordinating all pre and post-event activities and administration; conducting staff briefings and managing the logistics and smooth running of each event.
