London

Working in London is a popular choice for graduates.

Over half the 2014/15 vacancies from the Institute of Student Employers (formerly the Association of Graduate Recruiters) were based in London. 13% of our 2013/14 graduates worked in London six months after graduating (2013/14 Destination of Leavers from Higher Education survey).

Graduate pay in London is higher than the rest of the UK. With a median starting salary of £28,500, this is to offset the expensive cost of living in London. Some employers acknowledge this by offering ‘London weighting’ or allowance.
