Located between the University’s Medical and Dental School, Sports Centre and Leazes Park, Marris House is perfectly located whether you want to head into town for some shopping or enjoy some green space with friends.

Reception doors are open Monday to Friday, 08.30 – 17.45. The Reception Team can also be contacted by telephone and email from 08.00 – 18.00.

Rooms and prices

Marris House offers washbasin rooms in six-bedroom flats. Each flat has an open-plan kitchen/lounge with a TV, two shower rooms and toilets, and a washer-dryer in every kitchen. There is also a TV shared per flat with a TV licence included, however if you use your own electronic device to watch TV you'll need to purchase your own licence. Residents of Marris House also benefit from bike storage, common room, cinema room and study areas. University accommodation fees for Marris House include heating, electricity and water charges, free personal possessions insurance via Cover 4 Insurance and WiFi.

Accommodation is spread over four floors accessible by stairs only; reception is based at nearby Park View, and our friendly security staff patrol the area and are available on call 24/7.

Washbasin

Each washbasin room combines a sleep/study space, including a four-foot bed (small double), washbasin with mirror, desk with chair, wardrobe, and shelving. For September 2025-26 applicants, there will be 186 rooms of this type available.

Annual Rate: £6,020.00
