Using Images

We are all familiar with the phrase ‘A picture is worth a thousand words’ and using images in your teaching has many benefits:

  • High levels of literacy are not required for students to be able to engage with images
  • Images are great for piquing your students’ curiosity and getting them to ask questions.
  • Images can be very memorable and help us to retain information
  • Images can convey complex ideas more easily than words
