Our University services are here to make sure you get the most out of your time as a student, whether you require a space to study, somewhere to exercise, or a place to receive support and advice.

Student Services
Student ServicesIf you have a non-academic question or need some support, the Student Engagement Team is your first port of call.
You can visit our friendly team at the Helpdesk in King's Gate or call them on 0191 208 3333. They are here to help!

Your Libraries
Your LibrariesWe have four on-campus Libraries, so you'll find over 3,000 study spaces and countless resources to help you in your studies. You can also access many of our resources online.
Our Libraries are at the heart of your learning at university, giving you the resources, skills, help and space you need to succeed. Your Sport and Active Wellbeing Facilities
Your Sport and Active Wellbeing FacilitiesImmerse yourself in our inclusive sporting community! Represent Team Newcastle by joining one of our 60+ student-led sport clubs. Keep active by taking part in our 50+ group fitness classes and visiting our high-tech gym. Try something new through our Give It A Go sessions and get involved in our popular Intramural Sport programme. Want to just play with friends? Make a casual booking for social sport across our facilities.

Your Language Resource CentreThe Language Resource Centre facilitates intercultural activities, independent language learning and internationalisation practices for students and staff at Newcastle University. A vast range of services and opportunities are available:

Your Careers ServiceYou may be focused on settling into university life over the next couple of months, but we want you to know that the Careers Service is here when you need us, and we have lots of opportunities for you. Whatever stage you’re at in your personal and professional development, your Careers Service can help you plan, prepare and progress your future.
Are you planning to work while studying? There's a wide range of paid work opportunities available on campus each year. Working on campus is a great way to develop your skills at a fair hourly rate and flexible around your studies. Information about looking for an on-campus role is available from the Careers Service. Before starting any role on campus you must register as a student worker, you can find more information here.

Your Newcastle University Students' UnionHey we’re Newcastle University Students’ Union, Your SU! You’re probably wondering who or what we are. We’re the Students’ Union for all students studying at Newcastle University. Led by students we’re here to be the overall fun and supportive aspect of your uni experience. So whether you’re looking to make friends, make a change on campus or need some advice navigating student life we’re here for you. Societies and Clubs - Ready to make friends? With 180 societies and 65 sports clubs you're sure to find like-minded people and make friends. Not sure which club or society or club to join? Come to the Clubs and Societies Fair to meet the students running your Sports Clubs and Societies.
Student Representatives - Your seven Sabbatical Officers , known as Sabbs, and ten Liberation Officers and Chairs are student-elected and represent all areas of university life. They work on your behalf, making positive change.
Give it a Go - Your Give it a Go programme offers one-off discounted activities from sports sessions to trips around the North East so you can try something new, learn something new and meet some new friends.

Student Voice - Your Student Voice Team are here to make sure you are represented and heard when it comes to your academic experience. We train and support all your course and school reps who then go on to represent you and ensure your studies here at Newcastle University are fully supported.
Supporting You - Your Support and Advice Hub is home to both your Student Advice Centre and Welfare and Support Centre providing advice and resources across a range of issues you may face during your time at uni.
International Student?
We have a dedicated Team to assist you. The Visa Support Team is based on level 2, King’s Gate and offers dedicated visa support to registered and prospective students at Newcastle University.
