Collaborative ReDesign with Schools (CoReD)

Getting together to change school space.

About this project

Research shows that educational space affects learning and teaching. Material and digital resources, classroom design and organisation will facilitate some pedagogical and social practices while hindering others.

Across the world, new schools are being built, and old ones are in daily use. However, their users, teachers and students, aren't given opportunities to contribute to their design or plan their use.

This EU-funded initiative is developing tools for school communities. They'll be used to evaluate, understand, and perhaps change, their school space or how they use it.

Partners across six European countries are working with schools to produce a suite of user-friendly tools. These tools can be used to research and improve educational spaces beyond the lifetime of the funded project.

This project is funded by Erasmus+ and runs October 2019 - September 2022
