About the project
DemTalk Malaysia is an ongoing project led by Professor Tony Young, with colleagues at University of Malaya and Alzheimer’s Disease Foundation Malaysia.
It is a development of a previous research project, DemTalk, which was funded by the ESRC and Alzheimer’s Society UK. DemTalk has been continuing to have an impact since 2011.
DemTalk Malaysia develops the materials developed in DemTalk. It translates and socioculturally adapts them for various Malaysian audiences. The adapted materials are adapted for Malaysians and available in Chinese, Tamil, Bahasa Malaysia (Malay) and English. The co-production and materials design stage was completed in early 2021.
