About us

Our mission

Our research aims to improve outcomes for patients in our city, our region and worldwide. We translate the understanding of fundamental disease from the laboratory into benefit for our patients. We achieve this through clinical observational studies and interventional trials. Our work in human illness and disease identifies new areas for mechanistic study.

NUTCRI scientists, clinical academics and NHS clinicians form a thriving interdisciplinary research environment. Sharing knowledge and expertise in the pursuit of new diagnostics, therapeutics and medical interventions, and generating impact through clinical implementation and adoption.

We are committed to delivering the highest quality research-led teaching and education. Including, lecturing, postgraduate training and clinical research supervision.

Our mission is to transform our understanding of disease into life-changing treatments which lead to healthier and longer lives
