Request wellbeing support

We can offer you a wide range of exam support, wherever we assess that this is needed to minimise disability or health-related disadvantages.

Exam access arrangements include:

  • extra time
  • rest breaks
  • use of a computer
  • a support worker such as a scribe and/or a reader
How to apply for exam access arrangements

Your eligibility for exam support will be based on your evidence and we aim to tailor the right exam adjustments for you based on your needs and programme of study.

Apply for exam support by contacting the Disabilty team.

Please note that in order to apply for exam support you must have the appropriate evidence.

Types of evidence include:

  • a letter from a medical/health professional
  • a diagnostic report from a certified psychologist
  • an assessment from the Disability Team

Once your arrangements are confirmed with our exam teams, you'll be able to see them on your online timetable.

If your needs change at any stage, you'll need to contact your disability practitioner so they can review your arrangements. You can let us know about any changes by contacting the Student Health and Wellbeing team.

Exam support deadline

We have a deadline for putting exam support in place for each semester. You can find the next deadline on our exam pages.

We set a deadline for submission of exam access arrangements every semester and it's based on your programme of study. We recommend that you arrange to meet a disability adviser to agree on your exam support as soon as possible. You can do this by contacting the Student Health and Wellbeing team.
