I am the Faculty Liaison Librarian for the Science, Agriculture and Engineering (SAgE) Faculty at Newcastle University Library. I have worked in the Liaison Team here since 2007 and in academic libraries since 2002. I am a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.
I lead on the Library's education, research and engagement support services for the students, staff and researchers across all four Schools in the Faculty:
- School of Computing
- School of Engineering (including NUIS and NewRIIS)
- School of Mathematics, Statistics and Physics
- School of Natural and Environmental Sciences
I have particular interests and expertise in digital and information literacies, copyright & IPR and literature searching for systematic reviews.
If you have any queries relating to your studies, teaching or research then please get in touch with me or find out more about resources for your subject.
I offer bespoke learning and teaching materials to support students in developing digital and information literacies, from stage 1 up to and including postgraduate research level.
Find out more about how my team and I could help you embed skills development into your curriculum, or contact me directly.
I teach on the SAgE Postgraduate Researcher Development Programme and you can explore the workshops and training opportunities available from Library staff for researchers.
I offer 1:1 or research group guidance on literature searching for systematic reviews. If you are undertaking a systematic review and would like to discuss your search strategies or use of appropriate sources, explore our Systematic Reviews Guide, or contact me directly.
