As the AGE Research Group Resource Manager, Jo is responsible for managing the full range of AGE resources (including human resources, research data, financial information and communications), and works closely with the leadership team to ensure the effective use of these resources.
Before joining the AGE Research Group in September 2023 Jo had previously worked at Newcastle University for 9 years; 7 years as a Research Project Manager and Patient Registries Team Lead at the John Walton Muscular Dystrophy Research Centre, and before that as the Assistant Director for Information and Communications at Newcastle University Careers Service. She studied Applied Human Communication at Manchester Metropolitan University, holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Business Management, and is a qualified Prince2 Project Management Practitioner.
