Staff Profile
Dr Jonny Bunn
Clinical Research Associate
I am a registrar in geriatric medicine, training within the North East, currently undertaking a PhD as a member of the AGE Research Group (AGE Research Group | AGE Research Group | Newcastle University (ncl.ac.uk)) focussed on understanding the epidemiology of multiple long-term conditions in older people who access hospital care.
In my PhD I have been working with members of the ADMISSION Research collaborative (About Our Research | ADMISSION | Newcastle University (ncl.ac.uk)) to examine the burden and patterns of MLTC in people admitted to hospital through a series of statistical methods.
Outside of the university I have involvement with the Association of Elderly Medical Education (AEME – Association for Elderly Medicine Education), helping to organise the annual Geriatrics for Juniors (G4J) conference, where I work to promote research opportunities to those interested in a career in geriatric medicine. Beyond this through my research interests I have become involved with the GeriData network (Home - GeriData).
