Area of expertise
- Evidence synthesis: my role primarily involves undertaking systematic reviews of epidemiological and medical evidence.
- Epidemiology: I undertook an ecological study for my PhD to identify risk and protective factors for cold-weather-related mortality.
- Preparation of reports for NICE identifying drugs in clinical development.
- Teaching and project supervision, specialising in critical appraisal of public health research.

Teaching
I have co-supervised project students for the MSc in Public Health and Health Services Research and MRES Clinical Sciences and Epidemiology programmes.
I also teach on the MSc in Public Health and Health Services Research programme (Introduction to Systematic Reviewing and Critical Appraisal module) and I present seminars on Critical Appraisal (of epidemiological research) across various programmes.
