Coping with Change
Coping with ChangeWe will all experience some form of change in our lives. We may change schools or move home, or there may be changes in our family dynamics or friendships. Leaving home and/or school to study at University is a big change and further changes will happen as life progresses. Some people go through very few changes and others will go through many. Some changes may be experienced as enjoyable challenges; others may be distressing or even traumatic.
In addition, we are all now dealing with a great deal of change as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic.
Learning to cope with change is a skill that can be developed. This informative workshop will explore the emotional processes involved in change and invite you to reflect on your own experience of change. It will also cover strategies for coping with change when it inevitably happens.
This workshop comprises one hour of interactive group learning (if you wish to contribute) and a further half an hour for questions and reflective discussions. Total time: 1.5 hours

Self-Compassion
Self-CompassionHow often are we kind and caring towards others and yet do not give the same compassion to ourselves? Our inner critic wreaks havoc, making us feel dreadful by labelling us as ‘not good enough; lazy; failures; we must work harder’… the list will go on…. This workshop has been designed to help you learn about and practice self-compassion. This is not airy-fairy. It is grounded in research that shows how being nicer to ourselves reduces stress and anxiety; it helps us to function better and improves our relationships – with ourselves and others. When we learn how to get motivated from a place of kindness (rather than being bullied by our inner critic), life begins to feel more comfortable and we can achieve far more.
