Caitlin Halfacre is a Research Associate acting as manager of the LingLab based in in the School of Education, Communication and Language Sciences at Newcastle University. She additionally acts as an Associate Lecturer in the School of English Literature, Language, and Linguistics.

Research
My research covers includes aspects of Phonetics, Phonology, Morphology, Sociophonetics and Sociolinguistics but I am particularly interested in the interactions between social and regional variation. I have previously worked as a Research Associate in Linguistics at Manchester Metropolitan University, working on the Manchester Voices Project.
Teaching
Caitlin teaches on Language Variation and Phonology courses in Linguistics in SELLL.
