Learning ARC - Archives Education GroupLearning Arc are a group of archives educators from across the North East of England who meet regularly to share ideas and promote good practice in archives education. Amber - Film & Photography Collective
Amber Film and Photography Collective run Side Gallery and Cinema on the Quayside Newcastle, producing film and photographic works as well as housing the an extensive archive of film and photography collections documenting cultural life in the North East. The Learning and Participation team work with schools and community groups to deliver projects that explore the Amber archive, reconnect with the recent past and teach film and photography skills.

Durham University

Durham University Library's Learning Team runs visits and workshops exploring themes related to the National Curriculum and/or exam board criteria. Details of what is available and links to a series of online learning resources can be found on the website.

Tyne & Wear Archives

Tyne & Wear Archives is the largest archives service in the North East, with twelve miles of shelves holding millions of documents, it offers teachers a goldmine of primary source material covering 500 years of local and national history.

Durham County Council

Durham County Record Office holds archives covering every aspect of daily life in County Durham and Darlington over the past 900 years, from coal mining to suffragettes to the Durham Light Infantry. We can cover almost any topic and if we don't already offer the workshop you're looking for, we will happily build a new one for you.

Newcastle University

Here at Newcastle University Library Special Collections we bring archives alive through our online resources, on-campus workshops and bespoke sessions for local primary and secondary schools. We specialise in cross-curricular workshops and projects, offering unique opportunities to explore our archives and to work alongside academic staff and students.
