We provide exceptional conference rooms for businesses and organisations at our NU Farms and Dove Marine facilities in Northumberland.
We can match your conferencing needs with our wide range of well-equipped meeting rooms across our two sites.

We provide audio-visual equipment, can cater for your party and you'll always find our staff helpful and accommodating.

Cockle Farm Park
We offer a range of excellent conference facilities at our Cockle Park Farm. It is in beautiful rural Northumberland not far from Morpeth and easily accessible from the main A1 road.
The Seminar Room
A multi-purpose room providing excellent audio-visual facilities within an expansive and modern barn conversion.
This room is an ideal space for conferences for up to 60 people and can be tailored for:
- boardroom meetings
- theatre-style presentations
- classroom teaching
There is black-out capability; together with white board and flip-chart provision. The facility also offers free parking with direct access.
The Lodge
The Lodge is a versatile, spacious and open-plan room that can be utilised for various purposes.
This large room has a projector and screen, with white board and flip chart provision.
It has space for up to 40 people for conference-style presentations, coupled with a reception area and kitchen facilities.
Used in conjunction with our other facilities, The Lodge is also ideal as a reception and lunch area.

The Wheldon Meeting Room
This room will accommodate up to 12 people seated in boardroom format, making it ideal for small group meetings.
It can also be used as a breakout room when booked as part of our larger conference package.
The room offers boardroom-style arrangement, with:
- audio visual facilities
- flip charts
- whiteboard and pens
We offer ample parking with direct access to the venue.
We were made to feel welcome in a clean and well laid out space. The facilities were great and allowed for a full range of activities. The staff were all friendly and created a nice, positive environment. - Tony

Nafferton Farm
The Nafferton Seminar Room is a versatile, open-plan meeting space for up to 40 delegates. It is suitable for meetings, conferences or small workshops.
The room has Wi-Fi connection and a projector with screen, enabling the facilitator to connect to via a laptop for presentation purposes.
The venue has:
- ample parking
- a small kitchen for serving refreshments
External catering can be arranged on request.
The Nafferton Farm Seminar Room is suitable for an array of meeting activities.

Dove Marine Lab
The coastal location of the Dove Marine Laboratory offers a novel and picturesque setting. It's perfect for your staff away day, workshop or small conference. We have two rooms available for hire.
Buchanan Room
The Buchanan Room is set up cabaret style with five large round tables, each seating six people.
It has three large wall screens and a computer which is linked to the university network (Microsoft Office).

Evans Room
This room doubles as a laboratory-style workshop room or a novel meeting room in a marine laboratory setting. It boasts sinks, laboratory style benches and wall-mounted audio-visual presentation equipment.

Blyth Marine Station
Our Blyth Marine Station conference room offers a spacious area that can be utilised for meetings, conferences, small workshops and project demonstrations.
Beautiful coastal location
The Blyth Marine Station is situated on Northumberland’s southeast coast. It's approximately 13 miles northeast of Newcastle upon Tyne.
Excellent facilities
The room has a high-quality audio system for presentation purposes. This versatile space has the advantage of internal bi-fold doors. This enables one large room to be divided into two smaller meeting spaces if required.
The venue has on-site parking and a small kitchen for serving refreshments. External catering can be arranged on request.
Hospitality
All meeting rooms can be booked with a range of hospitality.
