School Learning & Teaching Assistant


Role and Responsibilities

I am the Learning and Teaching Assistant in the School of Natural and Environmental Science with responsibility for the Chemistry cluster. I perform administrative duties, mainly as pertain to attendance, PEC forms, DPD transfer forms, exams, and responding to student and academic queries. I also act as secretary for the Chemistry Teaching Group, PEC Committee, and facilitator for the Student Staff Committee.


Career History:

I joined the School of Natural and Environmental Sciences in 2018. Preceding this I worked as the roving Learning and Teaching Assistant for the SAGE faculty, mainly working on the Postgraduate Research Development Programme.

2016-2018: Before joining Newcastle University, I worked as an Administrative Assistant across various departments in Fenwick.


Education, Qualifications and Achievements

I have a BA Honours degree in English Literature (first class), and an MA in English Literature 1500-1900 (Distinction) from Newcastle University. In regards to the latter, I won both an Excellence Scholarship and the prestigious School Bursary Award.
