Staff Profile
I am a Research Associate on the NIHR ARC project. My work focuses on health and care inequalities and marginalised communities. Prior to starting this post, I worked as a Research Fellow on a project examining the dynamics between protestors and police during COP 26. My background is in Social and Political Psychology. I completed my PhD in Social Psychology at the University of St Andrews in 2021, looking at the “liberal dilemma”: the notion that diversity and cohesion are incompatible liberal goals. Most of my work focused on immigration, specifically looking at the experiences of resettled refugees in Scotland.
Throughout my research, I have always been interested in the impact of power imbalances between police and protestors, refugees and the local authorities, health and care providers, and those receiving care. I have experience in both qualitative and quantitative work.
