Industrial Advisory Board
The Industrial Advisory Board (IAB) provides a forum for discussion between our school and a spectrum of companies, and organisations with professional interests across science.
Our remit
The IAB remit includes:
- strategic advice to the School on the nature of and changes to the employment landscape for graduate biologists
- guidance on curriculum design and development for our undergraduate and postgraduate degree courses
- assistance with the generation of case studies for use in teaching
- development of student placement opportunities
- scope for us to provide continuing professional development (CPD)
Members from outside the School comprise of commercial, governmental and non-governmental organisations that employ graduates.
School representatives include key personnel concerned with the delivery of our degree programmes.
