EFL Skills and Attributes
NEW: A vision for education and skills at Newcastle University: Education for Life 2030+
A universal set of skills and attributes
Education for Life Skills and Attributes are a universal set of skills and attributes that will be built into our transformed programmes (see section 5 of our Leading Edge Curriculum Framework.)
Developing the whole person
Our Education for Life Skills and Attributes are designed to develop the whole person to enable them to navigate and shape a changing world through integrated academic, professional, and personal growth. They are anchored in our aspirational values of excellence, creativity, and impact
The Education for Life Skills and Attributes aims to ensure that all students:
- engage meaningfully with opportunities for academic, personal, and professional development throughout their time at Newcastle.
- have equitable, visible, and meaningful opportunities to develop the skills and attributes most relevant to their discipline and future.
