Free activity packs to mark British Science Week

To celebrate British Science Week (BSW), we've created free activity packs for children and young people to do at home or in the classroom.

9 March 2021

British Science Week, is a ten-day celebration of science, technology, engineering and maths. This year it runs from 5 – 14 March.  It's coordinated by the British Science Association and funded by UK Research and Innovation.

The packs cover Key Stages 1-5.  They are filled with games, puzzles and interactive, practical activities for students to complete.  There is also a cook book, showing you how to grow a gummy bear!

The packs focus on the national theme - Innovating for the Future.

The seven books have been created by the Science, Agriculture and Engineering Outreach Team at Newcastle University.  We have also had the support of regional partners including: the Centre for Life; Washington Wildfowl & Wetlands Trust; Northumbria University; Tyne and Wear Archives and Museums; Groundwork NE and the Northumberland Wildlife Trust

Downloadable packs are available here: https://www.ncl.ac.uk/sage/stemoutreach/resources/britishscienceweekactivitypacks/
