Background
I am a post-doctoral research associate working in structure-based drug design at Cancer Research Horizons Newcastle University under the supervision of Professors Martin Noble and Jane Endicott.
Having completed my Masters at the University of York in the group of Professor Gideon Davies, I undertook my PhD in the Newcastle University Biosciences Institute, supervised by Dr Kevin Waldron, where I studied metal cofactor specificity mechanisms of bacterial superoxide dismutase metalloenzymes, which are often implicated in virulence. My expertise lies in protein purification, structural biology, and characterisation of enzymes through biochemical and biophysical techniques.
