Background
Salvatore joined Newcastle University in July 2019 from Polytechnic University of Milan.
He holds a PhD in Economics from University of Rome Tor Vergata. Previous to obtaining his PhD,
he obtained a BA and MSc in Economic from University of Palermo and a Master in Economics from
University of Rome Tor Vergata.
Research
Salvatore is an applied economist with interest in firm-dynamics and international trade.
As part of an AHRC funded Research Project on Creative Industries (please, visit www.pec.ac.uk), his current research mostly focuses on aspects related to internationalization of creative firms and, more broadly, on cultural economics.
