Monday 15 September

13:00 - Welcome Talk from Degree Programme Director - Room L301, Merz Court

Time: 13:00 - 15:00

Venue: Room L301, Merz Court

A welcome talk for Renewable Energy, Enterprise and Management PGT students with the Degree Programme Director, Sharon Joyce.

Tuesday 16 September

10:00 - Introduction to the Language Resource Centre - SAGE Computing Lab 8.10a & 8.10b, Merz Court

Time:

  • 10:00 - 10:30: Group 1
  • 10:30 - 11:00: Group 2
  • 11:00 - 11:30: Group 3
  • 11:30 - 12:00: Group 4
  • 12:00 - 12:30: Group 5
  • 12:30 - 13:00: Group 6

Venue: SAGE Computing Lab 8.10a & 8.10b, Merz Court

An introduction to the Language Resource Centre with Sharon Joyce.

This session will be run in groups. Your group allocation will be sent to your student email before Induction Week starts.

Wednesday 17 September

This is an opportunity to find out what library services, wellbeing support and more are available to you.

13:00 - Introduction to Research, Communication and Professional Skills module - SAGE Computing Lab 8.10a & 8.10b, Merz Court

Time:

  • 10:00 - 11:00: Group A
  • 11:00 - 12:00: Group B

Venue: SAGE Computing Lab 8.10a & 8.10b, Merz Court

An introduction to the Research, Communication and Professional Skills (CME8064) module with Katie Wray.

This session will be run in groups. Your group allocation will be sent to your student email before Induction Week starts.

12:00 - Optional Session: Computer Clusters Drop-in

Time: 12:00 - 14:00

Venue: TBC

Designated computer space to access online courses for Sustainable Chemical Engineering MSc and Renewable Energy, Enterprise and Management MSc students.

PhD students are available throughout the day to help with online services. You don't have to stay all day.

This session is optional.

11:00 - Optional Session: Induction Fair - 2nd Floor Atrium, Stephenson Building

13:00 - Research Opportunities - Room L101, Merz Court
