Description
The Fellowship was an integral part of the joint BBSRC-NERC UK Aquaculture Initiative.
It addressed the needs of effective knowledge exchange. It worked towards better understanding of public perception of aquaculture.
It also addressed necessary investment in research impact. It worked towards higher sector competitiveness and internationalisation.
The fellow contributed in the following ways:
- Worked with researchers and industry
- Identified knowledge needs and innovation capabilities
- Promoted collaborations
- Disseminated BBRSC-NERC funded research
- Provided a link to funders and policymakers
- Determined how to best increase public acceptability of aquaculture
