Description

Ultimate limit state analysis is a fundamental assessment for a rationally-based design of a ship or offshore structure.

One method to assess the ultimate strength is the finite element method.

This research aims to adopt a concise finite element model. This assesses the ultimate strength of both intact condition as well as structures.

It considers in-service effects, bridging the gap from the condition of assessment aspect.
