Introduction

Dr Dehong Huo joined School of Mechanical and Systems Engineering of Newcastle University in 2011 (became part of School of Engineering from 1st August 2017). Dr Huo has been researching in the area of ultra-precision machine development, vibration-assisted machining, and micro-machining particularly micro-milling process. More recently his work in precision manufacturing is focused on developing micro machining processes and hybrid machining processes for hard and brittle materials. His research has been supported by EPSRC, Innovate UK, and industry.
