Ender joined Newcastle University in 2023 as Research Associate of School of Engineering.
His main area of interest is Shipping and Logistics. Before starting his duty at Newcastle University, Ender served as the Captain of Bandirma DEF training ship and as the Head of the Department of Maritime Transportation and Management Engineering at Bandirma Onyedi Eylul University, Maritime Faculty with the title of Assistant Professor between 2021 and 2023. From 2011 to 2021, he worked as a Research Assistant at ITU Maritime Faculty and Ordu University Faculty of Marine Sciences. Between 2017 and 2021, he received investment from stakeholders in the maritime sector, and established an IT company at ITU Ariteknokent, serving as a co-founder/ R&D manager.
Throughout his academic career, Ender has taught numerous master's and undergraduate courses. He completed his undergraduate degree in Maritime Transportation and Management Engineering at Istanbul University Faculty of Engineering. He obtained his master's and doctoral degrees in the Maritime Transportation Engineering Program at Istanbul Technical University, Institute of Science and Technology.
