Adding Microsoft Teams Meetings in Canvas

Following the removal of Zoom on 31st July 2025, setting these types of meetings will no longer be available in Canvas.

To create a meeting link in Microsoft Teams please visit the Microsoft Teams Meetings guidance on SharePoint. 

 

How to Add a Microsoft Teams Link to your Canvas Content

1. Open Canvas and Navigate to the Rich Content Editor

  • Go to the Canvas item where you want to add the link (e.g., Page, Assignment, Announcement).
  • Click Edit to open the Rich Content Editor.

2. Insert the Link

  • Type the text you want to display (e.g., “Join our Microsoft Teams meeting”).
  • Highlight the text.
  • Click the Link icon in the toolbar.
  • Paste the Teams meeting URL into the box.
  • Click Done or Insert Link.

3. Save Your Changes

  • Click Save or Save & Publish to make the content available to students.
