Description

We are exploring the influence of external factors on a ship's operational performance. We're investigating how these factors affect speed, fuel consumption, and emissions.

Our analysis of the data will allow us to develop statistical models for fuel consumption and emissions. The models will use variables such as weather, tide, ship’s speed and engine operating characteristics and measurements. The prototypes will support efficient scheduling of ferry services. This will have a consequent economic impact to the company providing data, and to others providing similar services.
