Project description
I’m using high performance computers to apply quantum mechanics to model material properties. The modelling is ab initio – that is, not requiring experimental input.
My research will use and extend density functional theory. It will calculate excited state properties of systems, specifically band gaps.
Interests
Quantum mechanics, solid-state physics, density functional theory.
