Project description

This study will investigate the physical properties as well as the thermodynamics of the diamond-Fe-graphite system.

The project will involve four areas of study:

1. diamond surface - Fe surface modelling
2. diamond - Fe interface properties
3. thermodynamic and kinetic study of Fe-diamond
4. diamond-Fe-graphite modeling and a study of its properties
