Project description

A new encryption technique known as ‘Lightweight Cryptography’ has emerged. It provides security to devices used in the Internet of Things (IoT) and in Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs). Traditional cryptographic methods are often not suitable due to resource constraints.

The new Mersenne Number Transform (NMNT) and its extended family, the Generalised New Mersenne Number Transform (GNMNT), have shown promising encryption characteristics compared to other methods.

In this research, we will develop NMNT- and GNMNT-based algorithms as a lightweight cipher suitable for application in IoT and UAVs.
