Living in Newcastle

I thoroughly enjoyed Newcastle for the range of people I have met, the nightlife, and how beautiful the city is.

Clubs and societies

I've been the Secretary of my course society, which is a fantastic way to meet people on the course and make friends. I've also been part of the Newcastle Angels Cheerleading team in my first year which was a fantastic experience.

Accommodation

I've lived in many different places throughout my time at Newcastle. There's always an abundance of accommodation in some of the loveliest places in the city. It’s one of the only cities I know where the students live in some of the nicest areas.

Student finance

I've worked throughout my degree, in different part time jobs and for my department. I also completed many placements, including a full placement year, which are all paid. These also contributed to my CV, helping me to get a good graduate job.

Career aspirations

I want to work in the oil and gas industry as an engineer. I recently received an offer to work for an oil company after I graduate, which I have accepted. My confidence has grown massively whilst studying at Newcastle, and I now feel capable of being a good engineer.
