Project title

Intelligent signal processing for vehicular communication

Supervisors

Project description

We are exploring ways of improving the performance of wireless communication in a vehicular network. These networks are very mobile. This poses a vast challenge as we develop more intelligent transportation systems. Our early results show:

  • higher spectral efficiencies through use of non-orthogonal waveforms
  • higher performing wireless receivers through deployment of machine learning algorithms

Interests

Machine learning, deep learning, signal processing, waveform engineering.

Qualifications

  • BEng in Electriconic and Computer Engineering from Newcastle University
