Newcastle University Awarded Five QS Stars
Newcastle has achieved five QS Stars from QS Quacquarelli Symonds, the first international assessment of its kind. More than 100 universities worldwide have now signed up to the QS Stars rating system.
The Stars system rates universities against a number of performance indicators.
Newcastle is proud to have been awarded five stars overall and in the following areas:

- Facilities
- Internationalization
- Innovation
- Specialist Criteria
- Access
The QS Stars system is a useful alternative to traditional league tables. It allows you to focus on Newcastle's excellence against set criteria irrespective of the performance of other universities.
