Vice-Chancellor’s Excellence Scholarships

Scholarships to cover 50% of tuition fees are available for students from India, Kenya, Malaysia, Turkey and the USA. 100% scholarships are also available for students from India and the USA.

We are pleased to offer 15 Vice-Chancellor’s Excellence Scholarship awards for outstanding applicants who apply to full-time undergraduate studies.

There are 13, 50% tuition fee scholarships and 2, 100% tuition scholarships.

Start date and duration

September 2020 for the full duration of the degree programme.

Application closing dates

  • India – 27 March 2020 and 29 May 2020
  • Kenya, USA and Turkey – 30 April 2020
  • Malaysia – 30 April 2020

Eligibility criteria

50% tuition fees

To be considered for the 50% scholarships applicants must:

  • be a national of one of the following countries: India, Kenya, Malaysia, Turkey and the USA
  • be assessed as international for fee purposes
  • hold an offer for an eligible undergraduate degree programme at the University’s Newcastle city-centre campus for the 2020/21 academic year
  • already have or expect to receive a minimum of ABB at A Level or equivalent

Eligible candidates will be assessed according to evidence of academic ability, evidence of commitment to studies and quality of application.

100% tuition fees

To be considered for the 100% scholarships applicants must:

  • be a national of one of the following countries: USA, India
  • be assessed as international for fee purposes
  • hold an offer for an eligible undergraduate degree programme at the University’s Newcastle city-centre campus for the 2020/21 academic year

Eligible candidates will be assessed according to evidence of academic ability, evidence of commitment to studies and quality of application.
