If you are applying for a funded PhD or MRes/PhD project, you should follow the guidance provided in the advert.
Our postgraduate application form is easy to complete. If you apply online you can save the form as many times as you like before you submit it and track the progress of your application once it has been submitted. There are seven sections to the form and we have provided guidance about how to complete each section. To start your application, please register and create a user name and password.
Note that the application form is part of Newcastle University's 'myWorkPlace Portal'.
Some functions of our postgraduate application form will not work with Internet Explorer 8. Users should activate the compatability view toolbar button: technical support for this is available.
If you are unable to apply using our online application system please complete the PDF Application form (PDF: 309KB) following our application guidance (PDF: 65KB). You can either print, complete by hand and post the form to us or complete electronically, and select the submit button on the form. You can also obtain a paper copy from our Postgraduate Admissions Service.
