Research Assessment Exercise (RAE)
An evaluation of research quality. Submissions from each subject area are given a rank which informs the allocation of quality weighted research funding (QR) received from the funding council. The most recent RAE results were published in December 2008. In 2014 the RAE is to be superseded by the Research Excellence Framework.
The National Student Survey
A survey of all final year degree students. The survey assesses students' opinions of the quality of their degree programmes, with seven different scores published including an "overall satisfaction" mark. NSS is conducted by IPSOS MORI on behalf of the HEFCE.
International Student Barometer
An independent, confidential feedback process, tracking the decision-making, perceptions, expectations and experiences of students studying outside their home country. Find out more about the International Student Barometer.
Destinations of Leavers from Higher Education (DLHE)
A survey which collects information on what leavers from higher education programmes are doing six months after graduating (employed, engaged in further study and so on). Find out more about DLHE.

People and Planet Green League (P&P)
An annual independent league table of UK universities ranked by P&P's assessment of environmental and ethical performance.
