Search for courses in Clearing
We have Clearing places available for high-achieving applicants on many courses. Places are available at our Newcastle and London campuses, particularly if you achieve ABB+ or equivalent in your exams.
Find out whether the course you’re interested in studying is available through Clearing.
Results day: check your grades
Check UCAS Track to see if you have been accepted on your chosen course. If you haven’t, check our subjects in Clearing to see if the course you're interested is still available through Clearing.
Don't forget, if you've done better than you expected, you can apply to a different course or university. We have places available to high achieving students.
From 17 August: call our hotline
Our Clearing hotline is open on Thursday 17 August from 7.30am to 6pm. If you’re calling from the UK call 0800 073 5050 (all calls to this number are free from landlines and mobiles) as soon as you get your results on Results day. If you're calling from outside the UK call +44 191 208 2482.
Other opening times are:
Friday 18 August - 8am to 5pm
Saturday 19 August - 9am to 5pm
Monday 21 August onwards - 9am to 5pm
Please call yourself as the Admissions Tutor will want to speak to you personally. Have your exam results and UCAS personal ID number handy and be ready to talk about yourself. If we put you through to an Admissions Tutor, they’ll want to know about you, your grades and motivations. Think of any questions you might want to ask to help you make your decision if you get an offer.
Receive an offer
The Admissions Tutor will tell you whether you have a place at the end of your call.
1. send you an email telling you what to do next. The email will include information on your guaranteed accommodation and how to apply for it
2. check your grades and let UCAS know that you have a place with us
You will need to add your Clearing choice to your UCAS application in UCAS Track (you'll be able to see on UCAS Track that we have accepted you once we've processed your application)
Don't receive an offer
If we can't give you an offer, you can still consider other universities through Clearing. Check the UCAS website for a full list of courses in Clearing.
