Aims
To be equipped to analyse data for qualitative or quantitative research projects.
Outline Of Syllabus
Will focus on preparing data for analysis, understanding which test to do, how to do it in RCommander and how to present results for the dissertation
• Qualitative data: research design and evaluative criteria; research methods;
Quantitative data: Correlation and regression; parametric and non-parametric comparison of means; multivariate techniques using R Commander and Vegan within RStudio.

Teaching Rationale And Relationship

Assessment will assess students’ learning as they will be presented with data sets; they have to decide how best to analyse, interpret and present the data to answer specific questions.
