  • MA TESOL and Digital Technology

  • MA TESOL and Intercultural Communication

These programmes are ideal for students who are curious about language, learning and global communication. Whether you’re aiming for your first step into English language teaching, planning to build on any tutoring/mentoring/teaching experience, or wanting to develop specialist expertise in digital education or intercultural work in international settings, these courses have plenty to offer.

Each of these programmes blend cutting-edge language-teaching theory with hands-on, research-informed practice to help you choose the route that best matches your interests and strengths. You’ll see how these degrees build the expertise and real-world skills needed for exciting global careers in:

  • public and private schools

  • colleges and universities

  • international businesses

  • teacher training

  • online teaching and Tech-Ed

  • international student recruitment

  • education/exchange programmes

  • curriculum/materials design

To bring the topics to life, we’ll do some fun, practical mini-activities where you’ll analyse short video clips of real-life short language teaching. You’ll then reflect on what makes them effective and consider how you’d adapt them for different learners, cultures, and contexts.
