Entrance Requirements For: F800
A Levels
AAB-ABB including Geography and at least one science-related subject from Biology, Chemistry, Computer Science, Computing, Environmental Studies, Environmental Science, Further Maths, Geology, Human Biology, Marine Science, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics, Pure maths, science (applied). General studies is not accepted. For Biology, Chemistry and Physics A levels, we require a pass in the practical element. GCSE Mathematics is required (minimum grade C or 4) if not offered at a higher level.
Scottish Qualifications
AAABB-AABBB at Higher Grade including Geography and preferably Mathematics and/or at least one other science-related subject from Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics, Biology. Combinations of Highers and Advanced Highers accepted. Mathematics required at National 5, minimum grade C (or Standard Grade or Intermediate 2 equivalent) if not offered at Higher Grade.
Scottish qualifications can be taken in more than one sitting.
International Baccalaureate
32-35 points with Geography at Higher Level grade 6 and one other science at Higher Level grade 6 from Biology, Chemistry, Computer Science, Mathematics or Physics. Standard Level Mathematics or Mathematical Studies required at Grade 4 if not offered at Higher Level.
Irish Leaving Certificate
H1H1H1H2H3-H1H1H2H2H3 at Higher Level, including Geography and at least one science-related subject from Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics, Biology.
Access Qualifications
30 level 3 credits at Distinction and 15 level 3 at Merit. At least 15 level 3 credits in a geographical-based subject and at least 15 level 3 credits in a science-related subject are required. GCSE Mathematics at minimum grade C or 4 required.
Cambridge Pre-U
D3,D3,M2-D3,M2,M2 in Principal Subjects including Geography and at least one science-related subject from Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics, Biology. GCSE Mathematics is required (minimum grade C or 4) if not offered at a higher level.
A Levels with PARTNERS
BBC with B in Geography and at least one science-related subject from Maths, Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Geology. General studies is not accepted. Extended Project Qualification
We welcome applications from students offering an Extended Project and value the skills of research and independent learning that it is designed to develop. If you offer an Extended Project, it will be taken into account as part of your application profile, but we will not usually include it in offer conditions for this degree programme.
