Entrance Requirements For: N120

A Levels

AAB excluding General Studies. While we are willing to consider any combination of A-Level subjects (excluding General Studies), we prefer students to be studying two facilitating subjects. GCSE Mathematics, English and a Modern Language at a minimum grade B or 6 required if not offered at AS or A Level.

Scottish Qualifications

AAABB at Higher Grade. Mathematics and English and a Modern Language (eg French) required at National 5, minimum grade B (or grade 2 Standard Grade or Intermediate 2 equivalent) if not offered at Higher Grade. Where a candidate bypasses the assessment for National 5 qualifications, a minimum of grade C in the Higher in Maths, English and a Modern Foreign Language is required. Combinations of Highers and Advanced Highers accepted.

Scottish qualifications can be taken in more than one sitting.

International Baccalaureate

35 points. Standard Level Mathematics or Mathematical Studies required at grade 5 if not offered at Higher Level. Standard level 5 or grade B in GCSE English and in a Modern Language (eg French) also required if not offered at Higher Level.

Irish Leaving Certificate

H1H1H1H2H3 at Higher Level, normally to include Mathematics, English and a Modern Language. Please see the Additional Information section on this page about further GCSE (or equivalent) requirements.

Access Qualifications

45 Level 3 credits at Distinction to include at least 6 credits in maths or quantitative methods. Please see the Additional Information section on this page about further GCSE (or equivalent) requirements. Language study at GCSE grade B or 6 (or equivalent) is required.

Cambridge Pre-U

D3,D3,M2 in Principal Subjects. Minimum grade B in GCSE Mathematics and English and in a GCSE Modern Language (e.g. French) if not offered at AS or A Level.

PARTNERS - A Levels

BBC excluding General Studies. Minimum grade B or 6 in GCSE Mathematics and English and in a GCSE Modern Language (e.g. French) if not offered at AS or A Level. **For the advanced option we require an A level grade B in the modern language to be studied.

PARTNERS - Pearson BTEC Level 3 National Extended Diploma/OCR Cambri

Overall DDM. Business-related subjects preferred. Minimum grade B or 6 required in GCSE Mathematics and English and in a Modern Language (e.g. French).

Extended Project Qualification

We welcome applications from students offering an Extended Project and value the skills of research and independent learning that it is designed to develop.  If you offer an Extended Project, it will be taken into account as part of your application profile, but we will not usually include it in offer conditions for this degree programme.

Additional Information on GCSEs (or equivalent)
